As the semester comes to an end, I have started to recall all of the positive experiences from my first year at Gonzaga. From the becoming best friends with my random roommate to dancing to Zombie Nation in the Kennel, my year as been great. Our class was no exception and I can only thank all of you for that.
Together we fostered an environment that was supportive and encouraging. No matter our beliefs we treated each other with respect. We counted on each other to be honest and open with our responses. By doing this we started understanding and accepting that people have different beliefs than our own. I never felt scared to share my opinions because everyone listened and wanted to hear them. The way discussed reminded me of the importance of fully listening and trying to see things through different perspectives. I also, appreciate the laughter among our class. I could always count on sharing a laugh with all of you.
Additionally, I am thankful for the help with my own writing. I appreciate your honest and non judgmental comments during the revision process. Your constructive criticism has taught me that peer review is not that scary and that my writing is not something to be ashamed about. Through peer revision, you helped me find my strengths and weaknesses as a writer. I was able to use my strengths to write engaging and well developed pieces. I will take the advice you shave hared with me to other classes, future careers and for personal use.
I cannot think of a more engaging and helpful group of people to work with. Thank you for making my writing experience a positive one.
