I would like to start by thanking you all for making this class so great and one I always would look forward to go to. I remember the first day I was struggling tremendously all from trying to remember everyone’s name and I apologize for the ones that I butchered, but back on topic, that felt like such a long time ago. Through only a couple months, I feel that I’ve gotten to know so many different characters, all of which I’ve enjoyed being accompanied with in this class. All of us learned and expressed our opinions and ideas in such a variety of ways, it was cool and interesting to see.
Though we are all so different, we created such a great classroom environment, all supporting and understanding one another as time flew by; it was awesome to be a part of! I can easily say that my writing has drastically improved because of this class. Occasionally reading some of your blog posts, everyone has given me an idea or two on how to improve my writing, whether it be its tone, flow or transitions.
Also, the Socratic Seminars and group presentations highly enhanced my learning. Regarding the Socratic Seminars, they enabled me to share my ideas and listen to everyone’s interpretation and point of view toward a specific topic. This improved my listening skills, for I would try to build on other comments that were previously mentioned. As for the group presentations, I would like to call out my wealth gap/American Dream group and then you all. At first not being extremely interested in our topic, you all made it more fun and especially more interesting to me; I really appreciate it!
This semester has been one to remember! Again, thank you all so much for such a great experience!
