He mentions Meryl Dorey, the leader of the Australian Vaccination Network, and how she claims that if "Bob Brown is allowed to comment on nuclear power despite not being a scientist, she should be allowed to comment on vaccines... his job is to comment on the policy responses to the science, not the science itself." He doesn't have any education to backup his opinions, only the fact that it is his job to comment on the policy responses. I agree with both Stokes and Dorey that you have to work for your opinion, but you also don't have to be an expert in the field to be entitled to your opinion.
I believe my opinion in this post is a "linked" opinion because of the fact that my opinion before reading the article is that some people do not have the expertise or enough knowledge to make a reasonable opinion about a certain subject. After reading the article I agree with it because it was close with my own opinion.
