As I have spoken to you over the phone, I understand you are interested in my work as a magazine writer. I have attached my most recent piece of writing concerning class sizes and student success.
I struggled to grasp an interesting topic to write about in the beginning of my writing process. After I chose the topic, the research and actual writing was easily accomplished. This engaging topic captured my attention. I find I can easily write when I am working with subjects that I enjoy and can relate to well. Because I have attended schools with small classes of seventeen to twenty-five students, I find the area of focus to be fascinating. I definitely did not dread this project once I began the writing process. I think the characteristic of working well with interesting topics would be beneficial to your magazine because I will work diligently on captivating projects.
After creating my article and revising multiple times, I finally finished the writing process. I formed my own template for the pages of the magazine in which it would be featured in and found images via Flickr that matched my vison for the page. Although it was time consuming, I enjoyed this process and would be willing to do similar project for your magazine.
By the time I turned my article in to my editor, I felt my work was well executed. I created the majority or this article by myself, but my team of colleagues helped this article reach its full potential. They assisted me by editing the text of the article and giving input as to how I should layout the pages. I feel working in teams is very valuable and allows all people involved to learn new tactics and ways to write. I would love to work in more teams as an employee of your magazine. I believe my article appeals to an audience of primarily parents of students and educators. I was able to appeal to their sensibilities by sharing a personal story and explaining how confused I felt during the situation.
I cannot wait to talk to you soon,
