I think that you should make a video about how advertising works because I found that the visuals of your presentation was the most compelling part. Talking about how advertisements lie isn’t good enough. However, witnessing it in the form of an Old Spice commercial or a Calvin Klein ad is solid evidence that backs up the observations made about advertisements. By looking at visuals and hearing what advertisements are saying the audience is able to distinctly see how self esteem is targeted or how images move quickly to grab people’s attention. The difference between a logical persuasion ad and a nonrational influence ad can be clearly identified.
There are however a couple of downsides to making a video. For starters, it is extremely time consuming and would require some mad editing skills along with loads of patience. This is why most people would probably stray away from this option. Additionally, there wouldn’t be much of a need for visuals when talking about why this kind of advertising is immoral or wrong. The only real need for video and images is to easily illustrate how advertisers are targeting people. It isn’t needed and perhaps isn’t useful for telling the why. Ultimately, a video would be a lot of work, but it would be unique and pretty cool
