Hey everyone, my name is Shane Sakai. I generally believe that social media is an extension of yourself and your beliefs, so I represent myself closely as I would in person. I do expose myself on multiple social media sites such as facebook, twitter, instagram, and tumblr. However, I am not "twitter famous" or any sort of famous on any of the social media sites, I generally communicate with my close friends and family (sorry!).
Like I said before, my audience consists of my close friends and family, and I don't necessarily feel as if I try to appeal to them. My tweeting and re-blogging consists of my personal feelings or beliefs towards the topic of choice and I feel like I hardly derail from that. I am a musician, cat lover, and my humor is quite subpar and I believe that if you just looked at my dashboard, you could definitely tell that.
There is one exception though, my tumblr followers is extremely small with only extremely close friends. This is probably due to the fact that my lack of humor or should I say, low absolute threshold for humor, is shown here and it is also my place to post extremely personal things (feelings mostly). My meme game on tumblr is extremely strong and if some of you really saw my tumblr, we could either be really great friends or have no chance of being friends, which is why I generally don't give out that information. But aside from the prompt, I am definitely looking forward to this class and reading all of the other blog posts!
