As you approach, people in work-out clothes pass by, some of whom covered in sweat. As you get closer, you see people in line to get a protein shake. When you get to the turnstyle, you better have brought your ID because it’s required to get into the RFC. As you enter the gym, you can hear the “gym music” overhead and everywhere people are moving with intent. To your left, bodies fly left and right throwing a ball around. To your right is the pool, where it is swimsuit season year round. As you move forward, there is an intimidating staircase that seems to venture on forever. Upstairs, you find this strange equipment that doesn’t make any sense and there aren’t any instructions. Not wanting to attract any attention to yourself, you keep moving. You see a treadmill, but it has at least a dozen buttons on it. Where do you even start? Let’s go downstairs. More strange equipment with no instructions. So many guys lifting insane amounts of weight. How is that even possible. You would do some bench presses, but you don’t have anyone to spot you.
The gym can be a very intimidating environment. If you have never been to a gym before, your first time would probably be a little weird. Unless you have someone to so you around, you will probably embarrass/hurt yourself trying to work out. The attitude at the gym is that you should know what you are doing. If you are not a gym person and you don’t have any friends to work out with you, you probably won’t end up in the gym.
