Over a month, maybe two, has passed since you’ve stepped foot in there. You enter the room; the smells, the lighting, the impression seems familiar. It’s opposite of your college dorm room. It’s bigger, richer, and comfortable. It’s yours. You notice your bed, your closet, your dresser, all intact. It’s your old bedroom back home. Here, you’ve spent countless hours, studying, laughing, sleeping, and contemplating aspects of your life. You may have studied chemistry in this room until 2 in the morning before final exams or maybe you vigorously planned which clothes to wear to school that Monday to make you look suave as hell. Whatever the case, the bedroom serves as a sanctuary. It is your space to relax, have fun, and entertain.
Some have used the same bedroom throughout their entire lives, while others have moved to different locations and adopted various bedrooms as their haven. Even so, the bedroom is a place to retreat to after a bad day or possibly celebrate after a fantastic day. These spaces come in all shapes and forms. Some are big. Some are small. Some have charm. Others are dull. Regardless, your bedroom empowers you to represent your individuality and provides you with a space to think, reflect, and wonder.
There’s some aspect about this space that makes you feel more confident, relaxed, and composed. Maybe it’s the personalization of each room that makes it feel unique and influencing. The design of the room is most likely fit to your liking and standards. Perhaps posters of famous idols plaster the walls of your room or maybe you line the walls with memorable pictures that remind you of nostalgic memories. Maybe your room contains artwork from grade school that reminds you to reminisce on the simpler times lacking pressure and stress. Nevertheless, the bedroom is unique and distinctive space that represents each individual. The bedroom empowers one to think freely in a space that is comfortable and positive. The bedroom serves as a place of power.
