Sometimes I think college is a constant sleepover. Maybe this is the reason for the struggle every morning. Late nights, stress, netflix, average food, and extracurricular activities do not make for an easy morning. We realize we need breaks from the pains of homework, exams, and life so we choose to give ourselves those breaks at the most inefficient times. If I took more naps in the afternoon maybe the morning classes wouldn't be so difficult. Not to mention, my mother can't scold me for sleeping in. This is truly a deadly combination calling for copious amounts of responsibility.
I never imagined I could have this problem. But the first day of the semester I was slapped in the face by that first alarm. I did not choose this schedule. During the dreaded midnight rush for selecting classes, I was slow on grabbing up afternoon classes. I will never make that mistake again. I will do everything in my power to not go through this again. Ideally, my classes would start at ten or eleven and end around three. I have to tough it out the rest of the year and I might just survive. The lifestyle I am living currently does not accommodate early mornings. Wish me luck on the rest of the semester.
