The topic is compelling because there is not universal understanding about the current and past situation with Cuba. Although I have brushed by it in few history lectures, I never truly had an understanding. The origin of conflict along with reoccurring problems are confusing for most.
TED Talks are effective because of the speakers in the program. They are informed and craft their words in pathways that reach a larger audience. I can honestly say I've never heard a TED talk that wasn't entertaining. It is a medium in which it is necessary to hold other genres of media. They use short clips, stats, quotes, anecdotes and much more.
The TED talk could be focused on an entire nation of puzzlement. Typically these talks are geared toward technology, but I guarantee it would prove worthy in history and current work problems as well.
