Gonzaga is one of the best universities in the country, and a large part of that is Spokane. The Kennel wouldn't be great without the hometown Spokane fans. We wouldn't have the burger joint on the corner if it wasn't for Spokane. We couldn't stroll through the park next to the river if it wasn't for Spokane. We couldn't hit the slopes and go cliff jumping in the same day if it wasn't for Spokane's location. We couldn't secretly have more sunny days than anywhere else in the north west if it wasn't for Spokane. We wouldn't have Gonzaga if it wasn't for Spokane.
Spokane doesn't suck.
This topic is interesting because of its relevance. Nearly everyone who hasn't traveled to Spokane talks about it like it's either a small town in the middle of nowhere (215,000 people) or "sketch" and "not safe." Nearly every major metropolitan city has areas that aren't safe. Spokane is honestly one of the most safe cities I have been to. (Hopefully) It is engaging because many can agree with the hacks at Spokane while we know how amazing it truly is.
