There are multiple reasons why Gonzaga was the best possible choice for me as a person and student. Coming from a small town, I knew I didn't want to be overwhelmed by a large state school where it would be hard to make lots of friends. I also wanted small class sizes where I knew my professors would take an interest in me and my work, because they would help me feel motivated to produce my best work. I wanted to be able to recognize multiple people around campus in one day, but still have the opportunity to introduce myself to new people whenever I got the chance. I was ready to be a spirited sports fan and jump into all sorts of club activities. Most of all, I wanted a great education that would really allow me to grow as a scholar and a person. Gonzaga gave me and continues to give me all of those opportunities, and for that I am grateful. I can immerse myself in solitude that I need, but I can be social and extroverted at other times. Everyone, no doubt, religious or not, should look into Gonzaga as a potential school because it is worth everything that current students and alumni say it is and that has been a blessing in itself.
Lastly, I remember how confident I was in my decision once it was made. I was thrilled to tell people that I was going to Gonzaga and I couldn't have been more excited for that first day. If I could relive it, I would.
To potential students: You will feel loved and accepted. You will also recognize where you need to grow as a person and will find the resources here to help you do that. So take my word for it and send in an application to one of the best in the west, Gonzaga University.
Analysis: I predominately used considered opinions to formulate my argument, and included lots of excitement and passion to have my argument be heard. I aimed it more towards my friends and students from back home, who I figured would probably have a lot of the same ideas about college that I did. I'd like to think it's engaging because I used my memories from back home as a little anecdote in the beginning and used a pattern of language and phrases to re-state my opinions so that they'll be remembered. Repetition is remembered, after all. This is also original because it's specific to people in my hometown and my own experiences which may be similar to others but not duplicated.
