The common conventions of this style of article include a catchy headline to capture the readers interest, and a length not too short, as this will mean the article lacks depth, but not too long, which will cause the reader to lose interest. The common layouts of the article’s I am using a guide have numerous, short concise paragraphs, each with their own idea. Some paragraphs contain antidotal short stories, other contain statistics and facts, but each paragraph connects to the overall theme and message the article is trying to support. These articles are sometimes written with a specific audience in mind, but generally they apply to everyone in one way or another, which is what makes them interesting to read.
I think this is a good genre to work with because it allows me to make an important point and research a topic, but also allows for creativity. I enjoy writing in this genre because I can incorporate more then just evidence, I can analyze the issue from my own perspective and add personal antidotes to make the story more interesting.
