The topic of vaccinations in children is a very important and controversial discussion because it involves the wellbeing of children. As with every argument, there are two sides. On one side of the debate is the position that vaccinations are necessary to prevent illnesses and diseases before they become a threat. The vaccinations are meant to keep people safe from contracting and spreading disease. In school’s, students are required to have certain vaccinations in order to keep the student body safe. For many, there is no argument because the belief is that vaccinations “keep people safe”. But on the other side of the debate, people argue that vaccinations are doing quite the opposite and causing serious harm to the individual. Many people believe that vaccinations should not be forced upon children because not every vaccination is necessarily safe, and that it is up to the parent to decide whether or not their child should be vaccinated. Throughout my unessay, I will discuss the debate from both sides, including the ethical, religious, and scientific aspects to vaccinations in children.
I believe that a traditional article is a useful way to present my topic of vaccinations in children because it will give me the ability to clearly present the information clearly including interview quotes, statistics, sources, and images. Through my article I will present both sides to the argument and share a slight opinion and personal connection to the topic.
